For possession, moroccan usually use "dyal" in the appropriat form.

dyalimy, mine
dyalekyour, yours(sing)
dyaluhis
dyalhaher, hers
dyalnaour, ours
dyalkomyour, yours(pl)
dyalhomtheir, theirs

The form "dyal" follow the noun as :

l-kelb deyalek = your dog

zzerbiya dyalu = his carpet

The placement of "dyal" in a sentence with an adjective determines the meaning of the sentence:

l-kelb deyalek kebir = your dog is big

l-kelb kebir deyalek = your big dog

zzerbiya dyalu ghalya = his carpet is expensive

zzerbiya ghalya deyalu = his expensive carpet

The form "dyali", "dyalek"..also mean "mine" and "yours"...for example:

- had l-ktab dyali = this book is mine

- dak rriha dyalha = that parfume is hers

Alternatively, possession can be expressed by adding these endings directly to a limited number of nouns:

myi
your(sing) ek
his/itsu
her/itsha
ourna
your(pl)kom
theirhom

Examples:

Husband=rajelmy husband=rajeli
Book=ktabyour (sing) book=ktabek
Daughter=benthis daughter=bentu
House=darher house=darha
clothes = hwayejour clothes=hwayejna
Son=weldyour(pl)son=weldkom
